1909 Georgian in Aurora, Illinois

This house was recently featured on HGTV's House Hunters ("Make Room for Mom in Chicago"). There is so much more to see beyond what the listing agent shows in the photos. It looks small from the outside, but it is quite large. The listing agent said in the show that the square footage was over 6600 Square feet, which doesn't include the full unfinished basement, but the listing shows 4585 square feet, so I'm wondering if that means the listing also does not include the 3rd floor game room. In the show, the house hunters asked about the condition of the unfinished basement, a portion of which was covered in subway tile, had sinks laying on the floor and a staircase. The realtor said that it is the original servant's kitchen, which the owners would happily tear out for the sale. Why would they do that?
