I was intrigued by the architecture of this house and was surprised to learn that the wings are not original to the 1800's house. It is a beautiful way to add square footage and visual interest to the structure without adding the usual, simple box addition. The beautiful exterior addition had me interested in seeing the inside. The interior is a mix of original and, in my opinion, overly modern design for this historic home. I understand updating homes for living today, but I always appreciate the updates that blend seamlessly with the period of the home. If this were mine, I would change the damask wallpaper in the entry, the lime green walls with painted black trim and the bright pink silhouette bathroom. What do you think? Would you change anything? Are you into mixing styles? Are you a stickler for strict period design? Do you like old house shells with all modern updates? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you.
