1896 Victorian on the Mississippi River in Burlington, Iowa




HISTORY
This house was built by lumber baron John D. Harmer in 1896.  in the 19th century, Burlington was a bustling center for commerce because of it's proximity to both the Mississippi and the railroad. It is because of this, that the house stands in the neighborhood among many other historic and impressive homes. This house has many original details, but has been updated along the way.
